Everyone wants a fun wedding…
Including me (the DJ). I get to be part of a fun wedding, so I get paid to have fun. Who wouldn’t want that? It goes a little deeper for me though. I want everyone to feel like it’s a fun wedding, you and your guests. If all the guests are having a good time, I am too.
That means a lot to me.
A recent fun wedding I did was Louis & Jose’s. I knew it was going to be a good time when the guests started singing along to Vicente Fernandez (If you’re Hispanic, you know who I’m talking about.) To me, this was a clear sign it was going to be a fun night – and it was.
Louis’ daughter read something she wrote during the ceremony about how at first, she liked having her Dad all to herself, but later realized he was missing a partner to share his life with.
Louis’ family pulled me out to line dance with them.
They made me feel very welcome and I worked hard to make sure I picked the right music and took their requests. Louis & Jose had some “Do not plays” but they said I could even play those if someone requested them. They wanted to make sure their friends and family enjoyed a fun wedding too.
