I was a little anxious about being the DJ for Ben & Jackie’s wedding at the La Jolla Women’s club, since the guests weren’t allowed to dance for religious reasons. However, everything turned out great. If you’re wondering what a DJ would do at a wedding without dancing – there’s plenty! I set up the sound system for the ceremony and cocktail hour, I played some Christian music that Jackie (the bride) had picked out for the social hour and reception. I also helped coordinate their entrance, cake cutting and some games to keep the guests occupied. Jackie & her sister even did a Hawaiian cultural dance for the guests – very cool!
